PARISIAN
MANNEQUINS

The image of the mannequins in shop windows as simple, bloodless dolls enticing us to consume is enriched by interaction with the city’s reflections. Different photographic planes interweave and mutually enrich each other. The reflections of the city – buildings, trees and pedestrians – at different times of the day on the shop windows bring the mannequins into our daily lives, and our daily lives into theirs, making them more human. In some images, the background and foreground become so intertwined that distinction becomes difficult.
